october market wrap.

optimism feeds hiring activity as Victorians enjoy life after lockdown.

October was all about the light at the end of the tunnel for Victorians, which we were finally able to enjoy (and may still be recovering from) over the long weekend.

Optimism feeds activity in the recruitment business, so it was no surprise the strong hiring momentum we've seen for the past six months is showing no signs of slowing down, and we're expecting to see a very busy November. Bucking seasonal norms that generally see things begin to wind up this time of year as the holiday season approaches, there are still plenty of jobs to be filled. Given the logistics of an interview process will become increasingly complex over December/January as Melbournians finally get to go on that well overdue holiday, it's going to make a move sooner rather than later.
